The Journey
Akliz has been around for many years, beginning our journey as a small startup from a bedroom somewhere in Boston in 2006. In those 18 years, we’ve grown from an idea into something tangible that many people rely on every day to serve their gaming communities. Since our very first steps, we’ve been committed to creating a place for people to build lasting memories built around their communities and the fond times they have while playing on our servers. Stemming from that, we’ve always been dedicated to providing our own bespoke approach with the most powerful hardware and custom made software built to purpose.
However, we at Akliz are starting to feel like something is missing! While we’ve been living in the moment and enjoying every second of time spent with you all, we haven’t been documenting our journey. In the next step of our evolution, we want to correct that by creating this blog to detail the goings on in the Akliz community, a little behind the scenes, and with each of our team members.
Why?
That’s a good question. There are a lot of blogs out there, and starting a new one comes with some risks. Writing good articles that people care about reading can be tough and time consuming. But for us, we feel like the rewards outweigh any potential issues.
We want to have a better way of communicating with you, our users. Many of you have been with us for 10 or more years, and some of you are really new having only just signed up. We’re grateful for each and every one of you that supports us. So we thought it would be a good idea to start sharing a look behind the curtain. We have some exciting ideas that we want to bring to life, and we’re hoping that you can help us understand how you want to use those ideas to best benefit your servers and communities.
Over the next week, we plan to release a barrage of articles for you to sink your teeth into to get a taste of what we plan to discuss in the future. Keep your 👀 peeled in anticipation for these articles:
- Community Overview - what makes the Akliz community special and why you should join in on the fun!
- MMCR Q&A - we discuss the Modded Minecraft Reviews project with its creator – Why quality reviews are important to content creators.
- ATM9 Sky - All the Mods 9: To The Sky is imminently releasing, so read this for everything you need to know to get started.
- Memory and Storage Space - Learn about how these work with a simple analogy.
- 7D2D 1.0 Release - It’s about time!
We’re very excited to point the spotlight onto these topics. But more than that, we want to talk about topics such as:
- New features on our platform
- Game releases and updates
- Support and Help doc updates
- Upcoming community events
- Partner spotlights
- And more (maybe even opinion pieces about games!)
This isn’t even our final form
While we plan to release a ton of articles for you to read right away, most of our best content hasn’t even been written yet. Over the next few months and beyond, you can expect to see a diverse range of content on topics about our goals and projects. Every week or two, we will release a new post.
Thank you for reading along as we write the next chapter in our adventure. We’re thrilled to have you with us and cannot wait to see where we go on this yellow brick road. So stay tuned for our next post coming soon!
If you have any questions or suggestions for any topic that you would like to see covered, want to join in on the conversation, or give us feedback for what we’ve done so far, don’t be afraid to hop into our Discord. Your input is incredibly valuable to us.
